This Invitation to Tender (the “ITT”) is an invitation by the Corporation of the Municipality of Meaford (“the Municipality”) to prospective bidders to submit bids for Mold remediation and Asbestos Abetment  , as further described in Section A of the ITT Particulars (Appendix B) (the “Deliverables”). 

The Municipality of Meaford (Meaford) is located in Grey County, on the shores of Nottawasaga Bay, a sub-basin of Georgian Bay with a population of approximately 11,000. The Municipality covers 588.57 square kilometres of land area and is located within a beautiful natural environment that offers an abundance of charm with its extensive waterfront, authentic urban area, diverse rural and agricultural landscape and scenic views of the Niagara Escarpment.

Overview of Deliverables:

The Municipality is seeking a qualified and certified contractor to complete regulated mold remediation and Type 3 asbestos abatement within an occupied or partially occupied municipal office space located at 15 Trowbridge St W basement. The scope includes comprehensive mold remediation of affected areas, removal and proper disposal of approximately 50 linear metres of asbestos-containing pipe insulation, full containment and air monitoring, re-insulation of all affected piping with new, code-compliant insulation and protective jacketing, and full close-out documentation including clearance results and waste manifests.
