This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by the Corporation of the Municipality of Meaford (“the Municipality”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for Provision of Engineering Service for Reconstruction of St. Vincent Street, as further described in Section A of the RFP Particulars (Appendix B) (the “Deliverables”). The Municipality of Meaford (Meaford) is in Grey County, on the shores of Nottawasaga Bay, a sub-basin of Georgian Bay with a population of approximately 11,000. The Municipality covers 588.57 square kilometres of land area and is located within a beautiful natural environment that offers an abundance of charm with its extensive waterfront, authentic urban area, diverse rural and agricultural landscape and scenic views of the Niagara Escarpment. The Municipality of Meaford wishes to engage a consulting engineering firm to provide engineering and consulting services for full reconstruction of St. Vincent Street from Meaford Harbour to Marshall Street East. The reconstruction would include replacement of watermain and services, sanitary main and services, stormwater infrastructure, sidewalk replacements and new sidewalks on west side, and road reconstruction.
