This Invitation to Tender (the “ITT”) is an invitation by the Corporation of the Municipality of Meaford (“the Municipality”) to prospective bidders to submit bids for Roadside Ditching, as further described in Section A of the ITT Particulars (Appendix B) (the “Deliverables”). 

The Municipality of Meaford (Meaford) is located in Grey County, on the shores of Nottawasaga Bay, a sub-basin of Georgian Bay with a population of approximately 11,000. The Municipality covers 588.57 square kilometres of land area and is located within a beautiful natural environment that offers an abundance of charm with its extensive waterfront, authentic urban area, diverse rural and agricultural landscape and scenic views of the Niagara Escarpment.

The Contractor shall supply all labour, equipment, material, and supervision necessary to complete clearing and grubbing as required, ditch excavation and grading to achieve 3:1 side slopes where a minimum shoulder width of 0.5 m can be maintained, disposal of excess material, erosion and sediment control measures, and all associated work necessary to provide a complete and functional drainage system.
