| Description: |
The Municipality of Meaford (Meaford) is in Grey County, on the shores of Nottawasaga Bay, a sub-basin of Georgian Bay with a population of approximately 11,000. The Municipality covers 588.57 square kilometres of land area and is located within a beautiful natural environment that offers an abundance of charm with its extensive waterfront, authentic urban area, diverse rural and agricultural landscape and scenic views of the Niagara Escarpment. The Municipality of Meaford wishes to engage a consulting engineering firm to provide engineering and consulting services for the replacement of structures BR-125 and Structure BR-070. Structure BR-125 is located on the Georgian Trail, west of Swarthmore Drive and is a cast-in-place concrete box culvert conveying over Workman’s Creek. Structure BR-070 is located on Sideroad 4, west of the 7th Line and is a Steel I-Girder design with timber deck, conveying over East Minniehill Creek. The location of the structure is shown in Attachment 1 - Project Locations. The proponent must have the ability to complete the work for both structures concurrently, including support during construction. The municipality anticipates that a separate tenders will be issued for the construction of each structure (2 tender documents and 2 contracts). |
