This Invitation to Tender (the “ITT”) is an invitation by the Corporation of the Municipality of Meaford (“the Municipality”) to prospective bidders to submit bids for 7^th Line Road Repair (TS-2026-08), as further described in Section A of the ITT Particulars (Appendix B) (the “Deliverables”). 

The Municipality of Meaford (Meaford) is located in Grey County, on the shores of Nottawasaga Bay, a sub-basin of Georgian Bay with a population of approximately 11,000. The Municipality covers 588.57 square kilometres of land area and is located within a beautiful natural environment that offers an abundance of charm with its extensive waterfront, authentic urban area, diverse rural and agricultural landscape and scenic views of the Niagara Escarpment.

On the 7th Line of Meaford about 300 m north of the Bighead River and just south of the driveway to 157696 7th Line of Meaford, there was an approximately 50-metre-long crack in the asphalt. The northern end of the crack cut diagonally across the road and then ran south through the centre of the northbound lane. The section of road has temporary been turned to gravel. The planned work for this tender is to stabilize the road base and repave the failed section of the road surface.
