This Invitation to Tender (the “ITT”) is an invitation by the Corporation of the Municipality of Meaford (“the Municipality”) to prospective bidders to submit bids for Trowbridge & Cook Reconstruction, as further described in Section A of the ITT Particulars (Appendix B) (the “Deliverables”). 

The Municipality of Meaford (Meaford) is located in Grey County, on the shores of Nottawasaga Bay, a sub-basin of Georgian Bay with a population of approximately 11,000. The Municipality covers 588.57 square kilometres of land area and is located within a beautiful natural environment that offers an abundance of charm with its extensive waterfront, authentic urban area, diverse rural and agricultural landscape and scenic views of the Niagara Escarpment.

The scope of work to be completed under this Tender # ITT-INF-2024-02 includes the following:

• Supply and installation of new watermains, fire hydrants, water valves and water services. 
  • Supply and installation of new sanitary sewers, manholes and sanitary services.
  • The supply and installation of new storm sewers, storm sewer services up to property limit
  • Storm structures complete with precast maintenance holes, frames and covers.
  • New curb and gutter system and sidewalks.
  • Removal of asphalt and granular materials from road surface, recycle in trenches.
  • Road reconstruction by modifying vertical and horizontal alignment and providing new granular material and concrete fill for road sub-grade construction.
  • All restoration to at least as good as existing conditions, as required.
  • Layout stakes, replacement of disturbed property bars.

The project shall be completed in two phases as indicated on the tender drawings. Phase I is to completed in 2026 and Phase II in 2027.
